Join us in the loft for an evening of deep listening and sonic immersion with Los Angeles–based composer and sound artist Alexey Seliverstov (@grayskiesforever).
Alexey’s live performance unfolds as a slow-moving, ambient soundscape—an evolving narrative shaped from field recordings gathered across diverse ecosystems, artificial bird songs, and layered sonic textures formed in real time. Using dozens of cassette players, reel-to-reel tape machines, analog and modular synthesizers, tape loops, and an acoustic resonator, he creates an enveloping environment that blurs the boundary between music and the natural world.
His work has been featured in large-scale sound installations for Harvard University and the LA Phil, and in a radio documentary for the BBC World Service. Experienced in the intimate setting of the loft, this performance invites you to soften, listen deeply, and enter a living soundscape—one that breathes, shifts, and unfolds around you.
